Mini pill questions

Unread post by Nifty.Anon »

I have a question about what is considered late on the mini pilll and where I would be around the percentage spectrum of success.
I take my pill always at 10 and some days a half hour late but never past the half hour mark and never more than once every two weeks. Would that make me almost on the perfect scale of success where is is 99.8% effective? I also only take multi vitamins, fish oil, and gabapentin as supplements and medicine goes and I don't think those conflict with the mini pill. I am also on the jolivette mini pill.

Hello there, Nifty.anon.

With the mini pill the time window you have is 3 hours, so 30 mins is not a big deal. But is good to keep in mind that with this specific pill the closer to the same time the better. Success rates are based in a year of use so it is hard to say what would it be YOUR rate but if you are interested you can have more info here: http://www.scarleteen.com/birth_control_bingo_minipills

As for the interactions between medicines we have a great article about that! :)
