Breakthrough bleeding?

Unread post by kmcmizzle »

Hello!

I have been on the same birth control for almost three full months now.

I am sexually active with my significant other but we ALWAYS use condoms, and to our knowledge, none of them have broke. I'm paranoid so I check each time.

My period is due next week when I am on the inactive pills. However, last week I experienced some cramping and yesterday I randomly started bleeding a little. It wasn't a lot, but it did happen. Should I be concerned or is this perfectly normal on birth control?

I should also note that about a month, month and a half ago, I took plan b (while on BC, condom did break then and I'm a worrywart) however, I have had a period since them. I'm just not sure if this could still be my plan b affecting me.

Hi Kmcmizzle,

Some people may experience spotting between cycles while on the pill, so that may have been what you experienced last week
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
