Withdrawal bleed vs. period?
Hi all,
I'm not worried about a pregnancy scare, I just need info in general.
What's the main difference between a withdrawal bleed and a period? I read in another forum that having a withdrawal bleed each month does not indicate that you are not pregnant, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around that.
My pill pack specifically says if you miss your bleed and have missed pills, you could be pregnant. If you were to get pregnant on the pill, you would miss your bleed correct?

Re: Withdrawal bleed vs. period?
Hi Girltuesday,
The main difference is that a withdrawl bleed happens when you're on hormonal birth control. A period happens when your body is able to ovulate (which birth control prevents). If you get pregnant while on birth control, you will not get your withdrawl bleed.

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
