Question about birth control?

This is a weird question but I just wanted to be sure I don't need a backup pill or anything. I've been on birth control for almost five months now. Today I was in the middle of eating breakfast and I remembered I needed to take my pill before work so I took it while I also had food in my mouth. Is that okay? Will that somehow mess up the absorbency or something like that because I didn't take the pill by itself?

Nope, having other food or drink at the same time isn't going to impact the pill's effectiveness at all.
