spotting a day or two before placebos
spotting a day or two before placebos
Is the pill still effective if you sometimes have spotting a day or two before the placebos start which leads to your period in the placebo week. When you never miss a pill

Re: spotting a day or two before placebos
Hi as17,
If you have taken your pill as directed, the effectiveness will not be compromised. For some people, sometimes spotting and bleeding can happen just before the end of taking active pills - so it is not related to any indication of the pill's effectiveness.

Yep the pill works just the same during the placebo period as it does during the other three weeks of your pill cycle.

My pill is also very low dose, does that make a difference

The dosage that has been prescribed to you will not impact the effectiveness of your pill.
It sounds like you have a lot of ungrounded worries or anxiety about your pill. What are you feeling anxious about?

Yes I do I have this fear that its just not gonna work for me specifically when it is suppose to be really effective and works for tons of other women. I usually double up with a condom and this time I didn't so I'm completely relying on the pill, which I haven't done before
