How long is it supposed to take to feel pleasure when masturbating? I'm female. It seems to take a while for me. I also need to apply pressure until it hurts to feel anything. I'm on a lot of medication so I'm wondering if it's from that. But just wondering what normal is. Thank you.

Hi 8888
What feels good when masturbating varies from person to person, so there's no one "normal" way to do it. Ideally, you're feeling pleasurable sensations the entire time, not just when you orgasm. Different angles or movements, or even adding in something like a vibrator, can help you find what feels good.
What's going on in your brain is also important when you masturbate. If you're mostly going through the motions and are not super aroused, masturbating is unlikely to feel as good as it would if you were turned on by fantasies of some kind. Does that make sense?

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
