Morality police is confusing
I have seen many times Morality police in Iran where they arrest Non-women too, like trans boys, non-binaries, cis boys and etc.
But why everyone says that "it's against women" but don't talk about others? And why Morality police do it against men and non-binaries too?

Hi there, Mika.m
You're right, the morality police don't just hurt women- they hurt anyone who opposes their power or doesn't want to live under their strict moral code. That includes men and trans people. When people discuss the problems with the police, I think they focus on women for two reasons:

- The morality police themselves often focus on regulating women's behavior.
- Other groups that suffer under the police's rules (like trans people) are less visible.

Hi Mika.m,
I can not speak on the nuances of the morality police in Iran specifically, but I would say most likely due to systemic transphobia that they view trans men in these situations as women. You are very correct they are not women and that they are men, but unfortunately transphobia can often take violent and carceral forms and does not allow for the understanding of the spectrums of gender identity.
