Concerns about Birth Control Pills

Unread post by Penelope »

Hello Scarleteen,
I have few more questions about the birth control pills.

1. Does the monthly withdrawal bleed that comes during the placebo week means that I'm not pregnant? It is possible to have withdrawal bleed during placebo week but still pregnant?
2. How long will it take for my natural period to come back after stopping the pill?

Thank you so much! I should've found out this website earlier, you're such a great help!

Sure thing! :)

1. Yep: you can figure that just like when someone gets their period, it's highly unlikely they became pregnant in that previous cycle, the same goes with withdrawal bleeds.

2. That really varies a lot from person to person. Some people will snap right back to a regular menstrual cycle in a month or two, while for others it can take half a year or even more.
