Unable to tell the signs of pregnancy from that of period

Unread post by Cranberrykiller »

Hi, I've read scarleteen throughly and I am pretty much impressed by the content on here, enough to think this to be the most reliable source to get my question answered.
As mentioned, I am unable to differentiate the early symptoms of pregnancy from those of my menstrual period.
Here's what happened; I was on top of a guy and grinding on him to the point of ejaculation. I was wearing my pants (not denim, could be called jeggings;jeans and leggings?) and my underwear under that. He was only in his cotton boxers and I could see the wet spot on them after he came, he immediately told me to stop and went to the washroom to clean up (with tissues).
I touched the outer side of my pants but did not feel any wet spots, it was kind of moist though, but that could be my sweat? I went to the bathroom to check but there were only a few drop on the inside of my underwear; probably my own secretions.
After about 15 minutes we dry humped again but this time he didn't cum, although there might've been some precum.
I took an EC about 36 hours later, because I was freaking out with the possibility of becoming pregnant and anything seemed to calm me down.
I do have anxiety issues, and high levels of stress. Also am b12 deficient and my periods are highly irregular; I do not have a specific date I can keep track of, so I have no sure way of telling if I've missed it or not. Also, I have a hunch I might be ovulating around that time, or was it just the PMS? I am not sure.
I've been eating a lot of stuff that promises to induce period but nothing has helped. I feel heavy in the stomach and feel bubbles bursting in it; again, I read these can be signs of an incoming period OR the results of the hormone imbalance caused by the EC. It has been 12 days since the 'risk' and 10 days since I took the EC. Also, I did not experience any withdrawal bleeding, or ANY serious side effects because of the EC.
Is it possible that I may be pregnant?

We will not answer ANY questions about pregnancy fear or anxiety in our direct services from users who are not pregnant or who are not or have not otherwise been directly involved with an actual pregnancy.

Please do not post this kind of question. If you are seeing this text, and your thread is locked, it is because you have posted this kind of question.

We CAN and WILL talk about things like:
• choosing and using a method or methods of contraception for any future sexual activity
• creating your own sexual limits and boundaries based on your needs and/or presenting them to any partners
• making sexual choices that suit your own needs, abilities and limitations, including your own readiness for certain possible risks
• help locating or using emergency contraception if and when you have had a pregnancy risk
• discussing options with a real, existing pregnancy, and help finding and accessing those options, such as abortion services and pre-natal care, or discussing feelings or concerns about a past pregnancy
• help with anxiety like locating mental health services, sound self-help or asking for support from friends or family

You mentioned a few things about periods and anxiety. We've made a new thread to talk about that with you here: http://www.scarleteen.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5572
