If and when someone is testing from pregnancy, you want to follow the instructions of the test you are going to take. That being said, usually you can test 14 days after the risk. Here you can have more information about this topic: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/pregn ... ancy_tests

Thanks even if I already had my period ? I'm confused because I had my period a couple days after the risk. So I don't know if it afecta in anything or even if it's necessary to take the test

Honestly, taking a test is going to be up to you and about what you need to feel calm and safe. If you think doing will put your nerves at ease then, test away.

Re: Pregnancy test when to take it
Thanks Edith for taking your time to listen and help me. I do think it will help me to take the test.. but I must wait 4 days (so it's 14 days since the risk).
I'm worried because I searched in internet "cramps after period" (I'm having mild cramps very mild) and it says it must be implantation.
I thought that if I had my period I was "safe" from the risk.

Re: Pregnancy test when to take it
I'm very sad because I thought I was making the right choices to not get pregnant and have a healthy sex life.
I had sex after I thought I ovulated (now I've learned that you never really know when and how many times you ovulate in a month)
He didn't ejaculate (now I've learned that pre-ejaculate might also get you pregnant)
We used a condom.. (but it broke!!)
I got my period 2 days after the incident...(and it turns out that that means nothing.. I might be pregnant anyway )
I'm having mild cramps and I'm freaking out.

Re: Pregnancy test when to take it
Thank you I just read that, I think my case is "i had a period" and in that segment it says that I'm not pregnant because I had a period and if that doesn't ease my mind I should take a pregnancy test. (I'm taking one on Friday when it's 14 days from the risk I must wait...) just to calm my nerves
Thank you.
it's just that ideas keep popping in my mind. I guess I'm mainly worried because even though I got my period.. I can't help but wonder if it affects my chances that to sex took place just 2 days before my period..
like could I ovulate during my period ?? And get pregnant that way ? Because sperm can live up to 5 days.
It's exhausting to think and worry this much.
Thank you.
