Birth control

I've been on birth control for a little over three months. Yesterday I had sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke but we didn't notice until after. I was three days into the active pills of a new pack. I've never missed a pill but the very last active pill before my placebo week I was 3 hours late. Should I take plan B or am I okay?

As long as you've been taking your pill correctly, plan B isn't necessary. Too, a pill isn't considered late until it's at least 12 hours past the time you would normally take it, so there's no need to be concerned about a few hours difference. (And given that happened in the last pack anyway, it wouldn't affect your protection now that you've started a new pack.)

So after you've taken your first pack correctly, and continue to take it correctly, your always protected? Even on the first day of the active pills?

Yep you've got it! I think this article might help you understand why that is: How do birth control pills really work, even during the placebo period?
