I'm Aaron and I identify as a male, but I was born Female. Anyways, everyone with a vagina at my school has their period... except for me. A lot of younger people I know (ages 10-12) have their periods too. I don't know if It's a medical thing or I'm just a late bloomer. Probably the ladder, but I don't know. While I am perfectly comfortable without my period (hence being transgender), I'm a bit worried. You probably don't know, but I was wondering if you could give me some tips to not be so anxious. :?: :( :)

Hi LGBTQ.Llama,

The most likely explanation is that you are, indeed, a "late bloomer." Plenty of people don't get their period until 13, so you're not alone there. In terms of being anxious, it might help to remind yourself that this isn't a sign that there's anything "wrong" with you, it's just the timeline of your body.
