This is a stupid question, but what is cum/cumming/etc.? I know it has to do with sex but I don't know exactly what it is and have yet found clear answer.

"Cum" can be used as a term either for semen, or for having an orgasm. So that might be leading to some of your confusion - it's pretty commonly used for either thing. Sometimes either definition will be spelled "come" instead, just to make things more confusing!

That makes sense. I thought it had something to do with ejaculation but I also heard it being used with orgasms. Thanks!

I didn't think about that until now. I'm still trying to get out of my head that penis-vagina intercourse is the only "real" sex there is. The other day I was talking to my brother about sex and how I didn't like penetration and he said something like "What else would you do?" It's just weird but I realize we still have that idea of cisgender heteronormative sex as the definition of sex. Which I find interesting because I read a lot of women don't even orgasm from that type of interxourse!
