Dryness
I have been on Alesse for about 11 days now and I am experiencing ridiculous vaginal dryness. My partner and I cannot have sex anymore because it hurts too much and it is really stressing me out. It is also causing me to be very emotional. People have told me that vaginal dryness is a side effect that does not necessarily go away in three months like all the others might, is that true? Will my doctor let me switch even if I have only been on Alesse for 11 days? I also read that low-hormone birth control causes dryness, but I was on LoLo before (an extremely low dose birth control) and I did not experience anything close to this level of dryness!

hey hootieandthe,
another user had a similar question, so rather than re-writing the response, i'm gonna link it here. i think it will answer your questions
Can Birth Control Cause Dryness?
after giving it a read, let me know how that sounds to you?
