"closeted" not out of circumstance?

I'm bisexual, but I don't tell my parents, because I honestly don't think it's any of their business. If they see me with my boyfriend then they'll figure out. It's not out of fear or anything, because i know for a fact if they knew I was bi they'd accept me, but I just don't feel they need to know. is there anything wrong with this?

Nope! You're really under no obligation to disclose your orientation to anyone. I think in a general sense, the more out people there are in the world, the more "normal" (in a "this happens a lot, deal with it" way, not a heteronormative way) queer orientations will be seen as, and that's good overall. But that doesn't give any one person an obligation to be out. It's fine if you don't want to share this with them right now.

an update: I came out to my parents on the same day I told them about my partner and they accept me wholeheartedly!
