Transmitting yeast infections through contact with inanimate objects?
Hello!
I am happy that such a format exists! So to my question: In the beginning of the week I found out I have a yeast infection. I think it got better. Now, I found out masturbating with the showerhead on jet mode is pretty awesome, BUT, I fear that if I masturbate with the showerhead (just on the clit cuz on the vag isn't healthy) and I press the head against the clit and a part of the head (which is round) contacts the clit a bit simulaneously, I might transmit it to the showerhead and so forth. I want to be safe but I REALLY want keep trying it out. I wouldn't want to substain for no good reason. Thank you so much!

Yeast infections aren't known to be transmitted this way, no. What I would recommend, though, is making sure that any time you're using an object to masturbate and it's making contact with your body, you make sure you wash or clean it before and after. Sometimes showerheads can get mineral deposits or mold on them, and you don't want any of that making contact with your vulva - plus, if you share your bathroom or shower with someone else it's just good manners to make sure the showerhead's clean after.

Hi!
Thank you for replying! How would you recommend to clean the shower head? Just rub soap on it and turn on the water?

P.S
I just wanted to correct a sentence from the first message for accuracy's sake "..and I press the head against the clit and a part of the head (which is round) contacts the VAGINA (cuz that is the infected area, not the clit lol) a bit simulaneously, I might transmit it to the showerhead and so forth."
Have a nice day

Hi SY123,
Yep, I would put soap or other disinfectant on it, scrub it, and turn the water on (and make sure the soap/disinfectant is all rinsed off before putting it near anywhere sensitive).

Generally when cleaning bathroom fixtures, you want to give them a good scrub. For something like a showerhead with a lot of tiny openings, an old toothbrush is often handy for this purpose.
