Birth control and periods
Hey.. so I’ve started my birth control 3 weeks ago ( as I was told by my doctor to start the day of my period ) it has now been 3 weeks and I still have my periods I wouldn’t call it heavy but I wouldn’t call it light . I’m wondering is this normal or is this a sign this pill ain’t agreeing with my body and does that cause the pill to be less effective

Hi Caoix,
Do you mean that you've been having bleeding the entire time since you've started your pill? Or do you mean that you've gotten something resembling a period during the last week of your pills?

Hi Caoix!
Spotting can be something which happens to some people on the pill and with other methods... it may settle down after a while but it is very individual and isn't anything to worry about in terms of the contraception's effectiveness.
I hope this answers things!
