I’m 16 and I had sex for my first time with out protection. My boyfriend he release inside me and i told my sister and she took me to get Plan B. I took plan b the day right after I had unprotected sex. When I went pee I was bleeding and I held for 3 days straight. Did I get my period or what happened. ( I still haven’t gotten my period but I’ve been getting stomach pains, and the feeling of vomiting.)

Hi greenheart,

We can't say for certain whether the bleeding was your period, although if it came at the time you were expecting a period and it looked and felt like a period, then that's likely what it was. However, Plan B can also cause cycle irregularity for awhile after you take it as well as irregular or unexplained vaginal bleeding or spotting, so what you experienced may be a side effect of Plan B. If you continue to have unexplained stomach pains, you should check in with a healthcare provider to see what may be causing them.

If you need advice on next steps after you've taken Plan B, you may find this article helpful: The Pregnancy Panic Companion . Too, since it sounds like you do not want to get pregnant right now, can I ask why you and your partner didn't use protection?

It was both our first times and he didn’t have any with him and when I told him to stop he said he wouldn’t release on me but he did. (I really don’t want to get pregnant)

Okay, so it really wasn't of okay of him to not stop when you asked him to, especially when he knew you didn't want him to ejaculate inside you. When a partner says stop, you're supposed to stop. Have you talked to him about what happened? And how do you feel about your relationship with him in general?

Are you interested in talking about birth control options since you don't want to be pregnant any time soon? We'd be happy to discuss those with you if you like.

Well we talked about it and he said he was ready to help out if anything and he doesn’t want me to take birth control or anything. As for our relationship, I felt like he just wants me to have a kid with him because he’s more excited about this then I am. I’m scared and I don’t want my parents to find out because they won’t approve of it

Hi greenheart,

Do you feel like you want to be in a relationship with him at all?

If you feel like he may pressure you to have a baby, to not take birth control if you want to, and doesn't listen to you when you say you didn't want him to ejaculate you, and the situation is making you feel scared these don't sound like things you are happy with.

Would you know what to do if you wanted to leave the relationship?

We have been together for 2 years so I grew attached to him.
He does make me happy but when it comes to things like this I’m not happy and we have been arguing about these things for about a week or two, since the incident.

I do know what to do if I want to leave and I’ve stood my ground about it. I’ve told him that if I stopped being happy or if I felt like something was off that I would leave.

Ok. I'm glad you have a plan in place.
I do worry about the fact that he doesn't want you to use birth control and ejaculated in you even though he said he wouldn't, though. It doesn't sound like this is a safe person to have sex with, since he doesn't seem to be respecting your wishes around pregnancy.

Should I try and talk to him about it?

I definitely think it's worth talking about with him. If he isn't interested in listening or doesn't respect the fact that you don't want to be pregnant, then I think that's a pretty clear sign he's not a good fit as a partner.

Okay thank you.

As for pregnancy, could it be possible that I am?

If so what are some symptoms for 3 weeks since the incident.

The best way (and only reliable way!) to know if you are pregnant or not is to take a pregnancy test; we just can't say whether you are or not. We do recommend that people take a pregnancy test after taking Plan B, since it can make your menstrual cycle irregular for a couple months after taking it. Do you think you or your sister could get a hold of one? They are available in most drugstores and other large stores with pharmacy sections.

Well, here's the thing. Until you test, it's really easy to get caught up in a huge WHAT IF??!?!?! and that's not actually going to be helpful; you can't make plans or move forward when you're both worried and unsure if you even have something to worry about. Taking a test gives you an absolute answer, which is good! And testing as soon a possible either means your stress is gone sooner, or you have more time to plan your next steps. So yes, this is scary. But putting it off is ultimately going to be scarier and more stressful in the long run.

Every pregnancy test has its own way to interpret results and its own instructions about what to do in the case of certain results. What your result means is something you have to find via the instructions for your specific test.
