Hi, I’m new to combined pills and this is my first period with my first pack (I’m on placebo pills). Inspire of what I heard that pills can reduce menstrual pain, I’m experiencing severe cramps and backache. Is it normal or am I getting i to some kinds of bad situation?

While the pill can decrease cramps for some people, not everyone will experience every side effect of the pill. So, it's possible that the way your body is interacting with the pill means it hasn't decreased your cramps. While it's a bummer, it's unlikely to be cause for concern.
