Porn
I’m 13 and I’ve never seen porn before because I’ve never had the interest but this morning I had the sudden urge to look it up and watch some. Would it hurt to watch some or should I just stay away from it?

Re: Porn
Hi Chez,
Well, the first thing I should point out is that, given your age, you're not going to be able to legally access porn, since any place that sells it or posts it is going to restrict it to people 18 and older.
That being said, there's nothing bad about being curious about porn. It's something humans have been interested in and making for centuries, and given how often it comes up in discussion and media, it's totally understandable to be interested in it. There's nothing inherently harmful about consuming media that's meant to turn you on, so watching or reading porn is not going to hurt you if you get curious and decide to check it out. You can read more about that here: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/polit ... xual_media . Does that all make sense? Any thoughts on that article?

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
