Dating bestfriends

After of months of liking my best friend and making obvious signs that I wanted to be more then friends.I personally asked her out to four events.She said yes every time but her mother didn't let her go.So after months I was tired of dancing around the issue.So yesterday September 17th on her birthday card I wrote all my feelings and asked her out!So no I have waited one and a half days.How long is long enough until I ask her for an answer?

I think it's okay to check in with her now, if you haven't talked since then.

If you HAVE talked since then, but she isn't saying anything about it, I'd assume that's for a reason, and I wouldn't bring it up again just now. I'd give her time to bring it to you.

Btw would just like everyone to know that I was rejected!We are still going to remain best friends.But she stated I love you just not in that way!It hurts but at least I know the answer!
