Am I still protected?

I’ve just started the pill and period has come 5 days before my 7 day break,if my period finishes during the 7 day break,am I still protected during the rest of the 7 day break or should I start my new pack of pills as soon as this period is over?

Hi ctj,

Yes, you will still have protection during your placebo pills, even if your period (actually a withdrawal bleed) finishes before they do. If you're curious as to why that is, check this out: How do birth control pills really work, even during the placebo period?
