If I got the Depo shot on the eighth day of my cycle, would I be protected from pregnancy immediately? I didn’t have sex just humped with underwear on and no ejaculation. Pregnancy risk or none?

Hi Anna,

The timeframe in which Depo is effective depends on when it's scheduled by your healthcare provider. What did your healthcare provider say about this?

They didn’t mention it since I’m not having sex

Okay, Depo-Provera (The Shot) works best when scheduled correctly, so be sure to get your regularly scheduled shots on time.
