Help! I Can't Masturbate!!!

So... I'm 18 and have first masturbated about four years ago now. However it's not something that I occasionally do. This is not because I do not get aroused but more because I don't feel comfortable doing it. Anytime I try my body gets all tense and I get super uncomfortable so I give up quickly. Which leaves me feeling even more tense. Why can't I just masturbate and enjoy it like a normal person? Is there anything I could try? Plz helppp!
