Shout-out: What I've done for MY Sexual Health recently

Okay folks... HERE IT IS! Seldom do we shout out ourselves for the routine things we think we should be doing (like the sticker or lollipop you get for routine check-ups as a kid). So let's take a moment and congratulate ourselves and one another for those things we have done recently. :)

Okay, I will go first: As part of my whole-body health I have been working with my GYN and a nutritionist on finding a healthier me. I also have scheduled my yearly pap (which I will admit... I have not always been so good about being consistent on!)

What a great thread idea!

I made and went to an appointment with my gynecologist as a followup to an abnormal pap smear, which I was feeling pretty nervous about.

I got tested for the first time recently! I'm not sexually active but I wanted to have those documented negatives :3

I finally scheduled an appointment with a GYN to talk about birth control and possibly getting an IUD. I wanted it for menstrual cramp relief but know it’ll also help when I become sexually active (which I sense could happen based on my experiences and how I’m feeling). It’s so hard talking about sex sometimes, but I finally worked up the courage to bring the topic up with my GP and got the referral. That little step, just talking about sex and healthy practices, made it so much easier to talk about :)
