Getting into the end-of-year holiday season means, for many of us, more time spent with family. This can be great, but it can also be stressful, if we're spending a lot of time with family members who pry about relationships, criticize our bodies or choices, or say sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. things in the middle of what should be cheerful gatherings.

This is a thread for anyone to vent, if needed, and offer support through stressful holiday times. If you can't yell at your relatives at the dinner table, you can come in here to rant if need be.

Boosting this again, as folks might need it in the coming days.

The holidays are rapidly approaching for many of us, and the political landscape may make them extra stressful. So I'm bringing this thread back, as well as adding these two links that offer advice for getting through family gatherings.
