Depo to Pill
I have switched from the depo shot (on it for 6 months) (2 shots) to the combination (Altervera) pill and I was wondering should I expect my period to occur the first month on the pill? How long till I get my period back?

Re: Depo to Pill
Hello!
It's impossible to predict exactly when you'll begin bleeding again at this point -- technically not a period, but a withdrawal bleed as you are not ovulating on the pill (or depo, for that matter). It may take awhile for your body to adjust and have a typical withdrawal bleed, and/or you may experience spotting in the first few months, as some people do on both depo and the combination pill. This tends to be different for individual people.
That said, the absence of your withdrawal bleed is not harmful.
Does that make sense?

Re: Depo to Pill
Yes that does! Is it normal to be experiencing sore nipples and breasts?

Hi Anna,
Yes, as breast tenderness is a possible side effect of the pill.
