Re: Questions/Anxiety
Oop - Just wanted to attach another question to this. Given that I'm currently on the pill, would any hormonal-related results in my blood test accurately reflect whether or not I have a condition such as PCOS? I'm due for a routine blood test anyway.

Questions/Anxiety
Hi there, I've noticed lately that I've been spiralling into a pattern of worst-case scenario-ing with regards to my pill. I've been getting caught up in the post-pill side effects that certain people seem to be having. Granted, these are just from forums and I'm not regarding them as credible, but ...

Re: Coming off the pill
Hi Heather, Thanks for the quick response. That's fair enough. I guess when I go off it for a while, I'll find out what my body is up to. Is persistent irregularity something to be concerned about, though, or is it just one of those annoying little things? Thanks for that. My breasts have not change...

Re: Coming off the pill
Just thought I'd add (in case it makes a difference), I started taking the pill when I was 19. Thanks.

Coming off the pill
Hi guys, I just had a question about coming off the pill. Are there any common sode effects? Prior to taking the pill, my cycle was pretty irregular. Is that likely to return after coming off the pill. Also, I've noticed a few sites reference breast shrinkage as a side effect. Does that occur only i...

Re: Switching Pills
Awesome! Thanks for that Heather. Yes, I will do that, but the Monofeme information isn't as user-friendly as the Yasmin information booklet, so I just thought I'd double check.

Re: Switching Pills
Thank you, that's a very satisfying response.
Just as a follow up question, in terms of missing the pill, is it the same protocol for Monofeme as it was for Yasmin (as in the 12 hour window for a missed pill)?

Switching Pills
Hi guys. I just had a question about switching pills. I was advised by my doctor to switch from Yasmin to Monofeme. I had taken 2 active pills of Yasmin, but was advised that it was fine to start Monofeme on the next day. I was also told that I wouldn't need to use any barrier protection, but I'm st...

Re: Pill + Heat
Sorry just to clarify, when I say I carry my pill in a case, I meant I take the entire packet with me and put that in a case.

Pill + Heat
Hi guys. I was just wondering if you had any advice on carrying the pill during the hot weather. It's supposed to be more than thirty degrees Celsius tomorrow and I'm going to be out in the afternoon and evening and need to carry my pill with me. I normally put my pill in a small case or small, hard...

Re: What to do?
Thank you for your response. Considering that I felt quite ill around a couple of those bowel movements, I'll likely still use the barrier method just as a backup. I'm surprised that I should be okay, though, because from looking through various other posts on the older and newer message boards, I g...

What to do?
Hi there. I just wanted to know how to proceed in my situation to make sure I'm going about it the right away. Yesterday (Sunday) I took my pill within 20 minutes of my usual time of 8pm. Around 11:30, I felt as though I could have gone to the bathroom (i.e. pooing), but ignored it because I don't a...
Quick Q.
Hi guys! Just a quick question. I recently bought myself some rose tea. It's literally just rose buds that you steep in water and apparently they're high in vitamin c. Before I drink it, I just wanted to check if this would interact with the pill at all. Or any herbal tea for that matter. Thanks!

Re: Withdrawal bleed Question
No, I'm only using light-regular tampons. Thank you very much for your reply. It's good to know that my pill should still be working fine and that everything is good despite this happening.

Withdrawal bleed Question
I know the pill can make periods lighter, but can a heavier period occur while on the pill? I've been on Yasmin for a year and a half and, for some reason, my withdrawal bleed is much heavier than it has been - it's like the periods I used to have prior to starting the pill. Is there a particular re...

Re: Question - HSV
Sorry, I should have clarified - my concern is that she may have had an oral sore and washed her face with the soap prior to me using it on my body/genitals. It was just, one red-looking lump/lesion around her lip. I know it seems far removed, but I'm a very 'what if..?' person so I just wanted to c...

Re: Question - HSV
I'm not close to this person. It's my boyfriend's brother's girl friend. I know HSV is common, but I definitely don't have it (at least before now). I am veey concerned because I am uncertain whether she had a sore or not and whether or not ahe showered before be before I used the soap on my genitals.

Question - HSV
Hi, I just had a quick question regarding HSV. I know that the virus is spread primarily through skin-to-skin contact, but I was just wondering if it was possible to contract the virus through objects, e.g. shared hand soap or soap in the shower? Would it be possible to spread/contract the virus thr...

Re: Question
Okay, thank you very much. It occurred only 50 minutes after taking the pill. I wasn't comfortable with what happened so I took another pill two hours later as a precaution. I still had symptoms of indigestion (burping etc.), but no other vomiting, so I assume my effectiveness should be fine now. Is...

Question
Hi there. I know that vomiting shortly after taking a pill can result in ineffective absorption of a pill, but I was just wondering if 'vomiting' caused by indigestion, i.e. vomiting in one's mouth (gross, I know) could also impact the pill in this way.
Thanks!
Thanks!
