Re: Well, I think I've just made things worse...
Hi aefaigbi, So, Plan B does have the potential to create cycle irregularity, so it's a potential culprit here. Plus, given that it sounds like you used four methods of contraception (pill, withdrawl, condom, and EC), the potential for pregnancy happening was incredibly, incredibly low to begin with...

Re: Dating, sex, sexuality
Hi Penna, So, for many people, their partners (both romantic and sexual) often come out of their friend group or social circle. What I'd encourage you to do is start involving yourself in different activities that interest you that also involve meeting and hanging out with other people. Now, don't t...
Re: Pre Cum
Hi hi1324,
We say it because sperm, if they are in the pre-cum, are fragile, and they need specific conditions to help create a pregnancy that just aren't going to happen if they're on a persons hand. You can read more about that here:

Hi Esta,
Because, you didn't vomit vomit, you can assume your pill will be/is absorbed. However, if you're currently sexually active, you can use condoms as a back-up method to ease any lingering worries (and we actually recommend using condoms and pills as buddies anyway).

Hi keelynking, So, for starters, if you haven't read this article, it's the place to start: From OW! to WOW! Demystifying Painful Intercourse One of the more common reasons that sex is painful or uncomfortable is that there is not enough lube being used. That's a pretty easy addition to make, so if ...

Hi Prats,
It may be that you get delayed side effects, or mild side effects. As for the cycle irregularity, there is really no way to know if it's occurred until you have a late or otherwise irregular period.

Hi dixiepixels, So, assuming that virgin means that neither of you have done anything sexual with anyone else (including manual sex, or oral sex), then your risks of STIs are very, very low. Re: Period question
Hi Chalk,
Given that your cycle is pretty irregular, the most likely explanation is that's what's going on now. Irregularity can go both ways, meaning sometimes it comes a little early and sometimes it comes late.

Re: condom broke emergency contraceptive pill
Hi Prats,
Some common side effects are period irregularity, nausea, spotting, breast tenderness and head aches. But there's no way to know how likely or severe a given side effect will be for you, as everyone's body is going to react a little differently.

Re: condom broke emergency contraceptive pill
Hi Prats, You're correct that a side effect of EC is that it can make your cycle variable. However, the pre-ejaculate he had was slightly more likely to contain sperm since he'd recently ejaculated. So, this incident, as I said before, does pose a risk of pregnancy. So, it is up to you whether or no...
Re: Virginity
Hi Anonymous, Peoples first experience with sex are so variable, but it's pretty normal for it to be a little fumbly and awkward (we don't really use the concept of virginity around here, since the definition varies so widely from person to person, plus it leaves out a bunch of sexual activities tha...

Re: condom broke emergency contraceptive pill
Hi Prats,
So, since you used effectively used withdrawl when the condom broke, you do have some protection against pregnancy. However, if you want to make your chances as low as possible, then emergency contraception is advisable.

Just jumping on a thought about the walks (since they sound like something you enjoy). They might be something that you could build into your study/other commitments schedule, like say " I'm going to study for x amount of time, then go for a walk, then study some more." That way, they migh...

Hi groudon, I'd say heather's advice about keeping an eye on this still holds. It may just be part of a normal variation, but if it starts looking or smelling really off to you, then it might be time to check-up with someone. I hear you on the internet research frustrations. We've got an article abo...

Re: Birth Control Use
Hi bella, The folks who were telling you the pill makes it harder to have kids in the future were mis-informed. There may be an increase in time after stopping the pill in which it is difficult to conceive, but it won't harm your long term ability to have a kid. So, if you're sexually active, we rec...

Hi Markopollo,
That's likely one of those questions where the answer varies widely from person to person. Is it something you've seen a lot at your school or in your community?

Hi lalaloopsy,
So, even when on the pill, it's normal to have some variation in terms of flow or other symptoms. And, if you've had withdrawl bleeds like this before, then it's safe to assume that it's just part of the variations that your body does.

Hi Questions,
The only instance where bowel movements may impact the effectiveness of the pill is if you've had diarrhea within a few hours of taking the pill.

Hi Kittens, You're not the first person to hit upon the fact that a lot of BDSM stuff is geared towards adults, and that can make both finding info and feeling as though you cant connect to the community in the same way. It can help to remember that much of the info (like how to do things in a safe/...
