Is my hymen broken?

I don't know if my hymen is broken or not because I don't know what a broken one looks like vs an intact one. I'm also confused because I've only able to insert a tampon maybe three or four times for the past four years I've been trying to use them. Other than those few times it was really uncomfortable and hard to put in so I stopped. However, I'm able to be fingered but I don't know if he can go past my hymen or not. Please help, I'm very confused :(
