minipill and periods
Hi everyone!,
So, I have been taking norethindrone as a birth control pill for about two and a half months. I have never missed a pill and have never been late with the pill. My issue is that I have only had one period since starting the pill. My boyfriend and I had condomless sex on September 4-5th, but two negative pregnancy tests have proved that not to be the cause of my missing period. My question is: Is missing a period on this pill anything to be worried about?

Hi koopins,
In the first little while after starting the pill, you may find that your cycle adjusts, meaning periods come late/early or seem to skip a month. You can find out more here:
M.I.A or, Dude, Where's My Period?
Also, just to check, are you and your boyfriend up to date on your STI tests?

Yep, my boyfriend was tested about a year ago and I was tested about a month ago as part of a wellness exam. We are both each others only partner and we have been together about 4 and a half years now

Right on
Just something we like to check if a user mentions not using a condom.
