Birth Control in Sunlight
Hi,
I take Yasmin and have done for a few months, never missing any pills.
I'm on day three of my pack and took my pill as normal and went to class. However, when I returned home I realised I'd accidentally left my pill pack in direct sunlight that was coming in through my window.
Will these pills have been affected by the sun? If, to be safe, I threw the rest of this pack away and used a new pill pack to continue this month from day 4, would my pregnancy protection be affected at all? I take Yasmin 21 day pills and they're all yellow, I think they all have the same ingredients in.
Thanks so much x

The nice thing about possible heat damage to pills is that it's pretty easy to spot: when that happens, the pills will tend to swell a little, which makes the blister packaging each pill is in look unusual.
So, if your pack looks the same as it always does, the pills are probably just fine. If not, then you'll want to get a new pack.

This happened to me - I never got a new pill pack though. I was fine. No pregnancy scares
