Help with mid cycle bleeding.

Unread post by lozzarg1214 »

Hi,

I have been on the Microgynon 30 for around 2 years now and have had no problems. However I am on day 11 of my cycle and I am experiencing a small amount pinkish blood with no other side effects. Any idea what this could be?

 :( :?

Are you current with your sexual healthcare to rule out infection?

Okay. There are a couple of STIs that can cause irregular bleeding or spotting, so it's always important to make sure that infection isn't the problem. Getting a testing kit is a great way to do that, but if you've never had a sexual health checkup, it would still be a good idea to get one done, including a full panel of STI tests.

If those tests come back negative, then it's likely that you're just having a bit of breakthrough bleeding: it happens sometimes, and if infection isn't the cause, it's not generally cause for concern.
