Anxiety or at risk?

Unread post by Sasha »

Can I preface this that like a lot of people asking these questions I am anxious about something. I have been tested for other STI's but not HIV. I have had protected vaginal sex with people who knew their status but unprotected oral sex with people who may not have known their HIV status. Should I get tested? I know it's very rare but doing a bunch of online research (bad idea) and CONVINCED that I have it.

Hi Sasha,

If you feel that testing for HIV would help you feel less anxious, then that is something you can do (too, for now it would be sound to stop researching it online, since that tends to feed the anxiety brain). Going forward, it sounds like you know that you need to use protection for any oral sex you engage in, since not doing so is making you anxious, which is no fun.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
