pregnancy test

Unread post by cutewhiskas »

Hi there! Can I trust the results of home pregnancy tests after 42 days of the sexual activity (finger with precum, but that's not my question)? I took 3 of them, with 3 days of difference between each one. All negative, not a sign of possible positive. I really think I've done all of them correctly, and all of them were clear blue ones *I saw at the internet that clear blue ones were better...* Just to get it out of my system: Can I trust the results? Thanks!

Hi cutewhiskas,

Assuming you took the tests according to the directions, you can assume the results are accurate (too, it's unlikely that all three would give you an incorrect result).

After all this time, a test would give me a positive result already, if I was pregnant, wouldn't it? And I followed all the instructions, so yeah, I really think I took them the right way.

You're welcome! For your other questions about the test, this article has information on how the tests work (including how much time needs to pass before they can be accurate): Peeing on a Stick: All About Pregnancy Tests
