Uncertain

Unread post by TooWorry »

Why is there so much info on the internet about pregnancy that contradicts itself? I am currently in a situation that is scary for me. I had sex two days before my period & got my normal period two days later. This is known sign that someone is NOT pregnant. But there are so many websites that have said that you may still be pregnant & you may miss your next period. Wouldn't a normal period after sex indicate a woman not being pregnant?

Hi Tooworry,
So, we can't say why other places say what they do. Unregulated media will always be inconsistent. What I can do is give you these two articles, which are full of tools for sorting good information from bad:
Legit or Unfit? Finding Safe, Sound Sex Educators & Support Online
Literacy Is Power: How To Get Yourself a Kick-Butt BS Detector

As for questions about periods and pregnancy, this article contains the information that you need (the most relevant chunk is towards the bottom): http://www.scarleteen.com/article/advic ... ds_and_sex
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
