What does (or did) your school have as far as LGBTQA spaces?

Unread post by Sam W »

I was talking with a friend about some of the activities the GSA at my high school did, and they mentioned that those activities (like having a "drag day") would never have flown at their school. That made me wonder: what are the LGBTQA clubs or spaces at y'all's schools like, if they're there at all?
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

my school has a GLOW group (Gay Lesbian or Whatever). at first we just kinda ate together and talked about LGBTQA+ topics, but over time less and less people came and now its really just a place to talk, we only currently have 3 members

The university I'm going to has an LGBT+ association, though of course I've never been. But when I went on a little tour around the school they included them as a larger part of diversity on campus

My school had a GSA, but the counselors got busy and it fell through the year after it started. (That, and I'm pretty sure some of the parents of those kids in the bible club got all in a fuss because their kids got suspended for harassing the club and it's members.)
