A full-length mirror is the only way I've ever found to check for panty lines! As for your grandmother finding out, you would have a better idea than we would what her reaction would be likely to be, and what kinds of responses would defuse the situation. I'm guessing she'd likely not be happy, but how upset do you think she would be?

She probably would be really pissed, I'm not sure what she might do though.

Mirrors and good light are good help. Also, wearing panties that do not have a thick seam is helpful too.

The seam is pretty much nonexistent, as it lays almost level with the panty itself, I just have a problem with it showing around my hips.

With your grandmother, if she does find out, a good first response would probably be to state simply that you bought these items with your own money, and that what kind of underwear you wear is your choice.

Probably the best way is to use a mirror combined with a camera phone - you can take a picture of your reflection from behind and then zoom in to check that you're comfortable with how the whole area looks to others. There are also great guides written on lots of different fashion websites on how to avoid visible panty lines, so those might help!

Have any idea when it comes to bra straps?

You could try strapless bras, or see if you can find bras that have translucent straps that won't be as easily seen through clothing.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Realized I have an issue, I can't wash the panties in my laundry.

What I do with the panties I don't want my mom to see is wash them in the sink when she isn't home. Then I dry them with a combination of a hair dryer and wrapping them in a towel and stomping on it. Lace ones try in just a few minutes, so you don't need to be alone for long. I hope this helps!
