Hi everyone
I'm a new member here. My name is Tharwa and I'm from Tunisia. I'm interested in volunteering for Scarleteen because, in Tunisia, people avoid talking about sex, it's a taboo subject, since we're kind of conservative people. So, adults don't talk about sex with their teen children because they want them to remain pure ( especially for girls, their virginity is considered as their honor, and they mustn't lose it before marriage). But, teens who ignore everything about sex, tend to discover it by themselves through porn videos and all ...Which causes a lot of teen pregnancies and abandoned children. So I'm here to help Tunisian teens learn about sex, and help them avoid extracting information from nonreliable sources.
