Brown discharge mid-cycle

I am right in the middle of my cycle and for the past two days I have been experiencing some brown discharge that is really similar to what I experience at the end of a period. My period ended about 10 days ago and usually I only experience brown spotting for a couple days after my period is over. I usually never experience brown spotting in the middle of my cycle. It's just enough discharge to make a stain on my underwear.

I'm definitely not pregnant and I have had my sexual health checkups so I'm not concerned about an STI. I am not experiencing any burning or itchiness or any other weird discharge. I am not on the birth control pill either. I have been a bit stressed recently.

Is this just my cycle doing a weird thing?

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
