Can you get pregnant from the birth control shot

I got the Depo shot on the 23rd of last month (May) and waited about 12 days before having unprotected sex. Now, after having many acts without protection, I'm becoming increasingly worried that I may be pregnant due to my weight increasing slightly, cramping, eating more than usual, and just anxiety all together. I did Google some things but they say that it's not reliable as a birth control... is there a big chance I'm pregnant, or a big enough chance to get a test done?
