Male body fluids

Unread post by hedjoss »

What's up, Scarleteen.
I have a question.
What effects have water and urine towards semen.
Both are liquid, but have different proprieties.
So, If semen is deposited in water, what happens with that semen?
And the same with urine, If semen is deposited in urine (like in retrograde ejaculation), what happens with that semen?
In those situations, apply the same conditions that are in your article: Can I Get Pregnant, or Get or Pass On an STI From That?
(http://www.scarleteen.com/article/bodie ... _from_that).

Thanks! :D

Hi Hedjoss,

Before we answer, can I ask if these questions are based on an actual situation you're going through, or if they're hypothetical?
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Hypothetical, is just a clarification I want to know because in Scarleteen explain conditions for differents human body fluids, and for example, people say that they "had sex in a pool, beach, lake" and so and for the guys with retrograde ejaculation, they urinate with semen.
So, thoses are another kind of expositions to a ejaculate.
And I wanna know if all the conditions that Scarleteen describe for male fluids (for STIs, pregnancy, etc) apply in those situations too?

Got it (I ask because while sometimes gathering more information helps you understand things better, focusing too much on hypotheticals can feed your anxiety brain). Yes, we take those sorts of situations into account when describing risk levels of different activities. Sperm are fragile creatures, so environments like urine or random bodies of water aren't conducive to their survival. You can read more about that here: Who's Afraid of Sperm Cells?
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
