Question about periods

This is a follow up to my post the other day which I would like to thank the mods for answering them. Can a period be late for no reason at all? My girlfriend's period has been late for a day or 2 days and it's been bugging me. We've never had intercourse, fooled around yes but never intercourse.

She has masturbated me to which I ejaculate but I do not remember ever ejaculating on her bare vagina. From what I know there is no reason as to why her period should be late but it is. She has complained of stress though could it be that? I'm so paranoid I'm contemplating making my girlfriend take a pregnancy test.

Are there other reasons that could result in a late period she's 17 by the way and she has all the symptoms breakouts sudden craving for food and the like so I really don't know why it isn't here yet please help
