Dating Apps

Unread post by Laima »

Hello,

So, I’m a little curious about dating apps. While I’ve used Tinder before, I didn’t really like it and found it a bit boring. But, I am interested in the app Coffee Meets Bagel.

Has anyone used this app or a similar one before?

What are/were your experiences with dating apps in general?

So my experiences are mostly positive.

I don't really like that there is some tech-giant mediating my love life but hey, it also means I've met some really cool people I wouldn't have met otherwise. So it's a relatively worthwhile trade off.

I do like that the apps encourages to people to write down what they are into/interested in and most of the apps don't stigmatise queer or casual or whatever non-normative relationship styles.

Annoyingly the website/app I used to like the most was has completely changed it to behave nearly-exactly like tinder (the same company owns them both, as well as most of the other apps).
