this is probably a very simply and easily answered question, but I wanted to ask here because I trust y'all more than reddit or mens health, but is it even remotely safe and/or viable to shave the scrotum without causing serious damage? if so what's the best way or at least the best way to minimize risk?

I don't think a standard shave (without cutting yourself!) is going to do much harm. Maybe it could trigger ingrowing hair, but that's about the worst of it.
