Breast Soreness Before Period

Hi I have a question. I've been on ortho tri cyclen lo for about 10 months now and i'm due to have my period this week and my breasts have been tender with a dull ache. Is that a normal side effect of taking the birth control pill?

I have also noticed white discharge in my underwear also. Is that normal as well? It doesn't hurt or anything, I'm just curious as to why it's there?

Some people have more breast tenderness while taking the combined pill. It can also simply happen occasionally, particularly shortly before a period.
