Question about sperm
Hi there, yesterday night I gave my boyfriend a handjob and then he came on my hand and a bit on my bedsheets. I went to the washroom right away and washed them with soap and cold water. What I’m worried about is right after that I went pee and when I wiped, my finger touched the clit area to the side, it was hard to tell but I’m not sure if it went in or like to the side.
My question is whether it is possible for a sperm to travel from the clit area to the vagina then up to the uterus? Thank you so much! I’m also on one of the last days of my period if that matters as well.

Re: Question about sperm
Hi BlueFlower823 welcome to the boards!
From what you're describing, it sounds like there's a very low risk you could get pregnant that way. While technically semen could travel from the clit area to the vagina on its own, it would be more so if you're in a position where it could run down into it, if that makes sense. And given that you had washed your hands and all you did was wipe and have one finger touch the side of your clit, there's not much for you to worry about. Of course it's always a good idea to monitor or track your cycle, but manual sex is very low risk if you're not getting ejaculate directly in your general vaginal area. I hope this makes you feel more at ease!

Re: Question about sperm
Thank you very much! Yeah my hand was pretty much dry when I wiped so there wasn’t anything to really drip, just a brush of a finger. I remember using hand sanitizer too after I washed my hands just to be extra safe but then I was worried of like “cross contamination” if my boyfriend touched the same door handle as me with cum still on his hands before I went pee and wiped. I probably sound pretty paranoid but this was my first sexual experience and I want to make sure everything was safe. I also have PCOS so I’m pretty sure I already have a decreased chance of getting pregnant (not that this is something I am ever relying on). Thanks again!

Re: Question about sperm
One thing to keep in mind is that sperm aren't bacteria; cross-contamination isn't something that happens with sperm. We do find that a lot of people are worried about sperm behaving in very bacteria-like ways, so it may help to remember that they just can't do the same things bacteria can.
