I took my pill at 7.30 am and now at 10.59 have promptly puked. Should I take a second pill to ensure i have had my dosage, or would three hours have been long enough for it to be absorbed?

Digestion taking more than an hour to happen, let alone three, would be very unusual.
So, unless you saw your undigested pill in your vomit, I see no reason to assume you didn't digest it.
