diarrhea after pill

ok just need an opinion on this but im on the second day of my pill pack and had diarrhea a little over 3 hours after taking the pill- should i take another to be safe? thank you

after looking it up it is not diarrhea just one loose stool but im still not sure

Hi lycheefan,
You are referring to birth control, correct? Have you experienced diarrhea from the pill in the past? Sometimes the pill can cause diarrhea, so I don’t want to advise you to take the day 3 pill until tomorrow. Can you expand on this a bit more?

hi! yeah, im on the combo pill- and no, i havent had diarrhea this soon after taking it before so i wasnt sure. i dont think ill take the day 3 pill tonight

Yes, please take your pills as directed! It seems like you were worried that the pill didn’t dissolve or your body didn’t digest it properly. I completely understand your concern but this is very rarely the case, so please don’t worry! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
