Brown discharge

Hi I'm on the pill and ive just started my period, it's a lighter flow I think but I understand this is normal after a few months on the pill. However, I have tiny brown/red crumbs of tissue (sorry TMI) that are coming out with the light period. As this is my first day, would I be correct in assuming this is just the brown discharge clearing from my last period?

Yes. Brown discharge only means old blood leaving the body. :)

Even if it's not liquid, just like small dry pieces of tissue??
